Discover a metropolitan atmosphere

Sloterdijk may feel far away from Amsterdam, but it is closer than you think. The area around Sloterdijk Station in Amsterdam-West is being transformed fast from an area with a monoculture to a mixed residential and business district. During the coming years some 1,500 new homes will be added, kicking off with VERTICAL.

Hub-location

Sloterdijk-Centrum is a genuine hub location. Nice to stay in, easy to go out. VERTICAL is within walking distance of Amsterdam-Sloterdijk railway and metro station. You can be at Schiphol Airport in just fifteen minutes, it’s just ten minutes by bike to Westerpark, and a half-hour journey by car will take you to the seaside for a day on the beach.

The first shoots

Sloterdijk is still relatively unknown. It has a rough, metropolitan atmosphere. Tension and concrete merge. With BRET, the BRET garden, Ven Amsterdam and the Train Lodge as pioneers, the transformation of Sloterdijk is now under way.

Sloterdijk-Centrum

Sloterdijk-Centrum is regarded as the heart of a large-scale area development: Haven-Stad. Twelve subdistricts to the west and northwest of the centre, including old port areas, will be tackled. Sloterdijk is already on its way. Diverse facilities are includend in the different developments around VERTICAL with, among others, catering and stores.

Westerpark

Westerpark is only ten minutes away by bike. A modern park, where the cultural paradise in and around the Westergasfabriek generates a dynamic environment. In Westergasfabriek Culture Park you will find cafes, trendy eateries, galleries, a cinema and a range of clubs.

Places-to-be

Amsterdam Sloterdijk is still relatively unexplored territory and has a raw, metropolitan atmosphere. It is a place where many construction projects are encountered. It is a true urban playground where BRET, Tuin van BRET, Ven Amsterdam, Train Lodge and, of course, VERTICAL will serve as pioneers for the future of Sloterdijk-Centrum. Here is an insight into the ‘places to be’.
